IS THAT CORNFLOUR ?

Why we use cornflour

Quite a bit actually. We use it as a substitute for talcum powder for some pretty serious reasons.

The reason powder is used during waxing is to absorb excess moisture and sweat on the skin, which allows for a more effective wax.

We’ve also found it to help the wax set quicker.

However, studies have questioned whether talcum powder is doing more harm than good.

Talcum powder is made from talc, which has trace elements of magnesium, silicon and oxygen that absorb moisture.

It helps to stop the particles getting into the pores which may cause inflammation.

This exactly why we use cornflour instead. It helps us deliver a great wax

This was such an insightful read, and I really appreciate you sharing your extensive experience with cornflour! I’ve been experimenting with different methods myself for ages, and it’s honestly a relief to see someone else acknowledge how tricky it can be to get right. I remember one particularly disastrous attempt where I ended up with lumps the size of marbles, which was definitely not the smooth texture I was aiming for https://aana.com.au/self-regulation/codes-guidelines/wagering-code/ Your point about team dynamics is also spot on; navigating those collaborative efforts around cornflour can be surprisingly complex, can't it! It’s fantastic to have this comprehensive knowledge drop all in one place. I’ve already forwarded it to a couple of friends who I know will benefit immensely…
